天宫一号

天宫一号（Tiangong-1或Heavenly Palace 1）是中国首个目标飞行器和空间实验室，属载人航天器，由中国航天科技集团公司所属中国空间技术研究院和上海航天技术研究院研制。高10.4米、重8.5吨。

于2011年9月29日21时16分3秒在酒泉卫星发射中心发射，由长征二号FT1火箭运载，火箭全长52米，运载能力为8.6吨。天宫一号设计在轨寿命两年。

由于天宫一号是空间交会对接试验中的被动目标，所以叫“目标飞行器”（Target Spacecraft，天宫一号的主要任务之一即为实施空间交会对接试验提供目标飞行器）。而之后发射的神舟系列飞船，也称作“追踪飞行器”，入轨后主动接近目标飞行器。

天宫一号的发射标志着中国迈入中国航天“三步走”战略的第二步第二阶段（即掌握空间交会对接技术及建立空间实验室）；同时也是中国空间站的起点，标志着中国已经拥有建立初步空间站，即短期无人照料的空间站的能力。

2011年11月，天宫一号与神舟八号飞船成功对接，中国也由此成为世界上第三个自主掌握空间交会对接技术的国家。
