“沃尔沃生命奇迹” 俱乐部

来自纽约大都会歌剧院男中音的罗伯特•梅瑞尔(Robert Merrill) 是俱乐部的第一名会员。

“沃尔沃生命奇迹” 俱乐部于1990 年在纽约车展成立，由在严重交通事故中明显因沃尔沃车型的保护而幸免于难的客户组成。

1970 年，俱乐部创建人鲍勃•奥斯丁(Bob Austin) 在沃尔沃汽车北美区客户部工作时，收到了一封客户的感谢信。信中，一位母亲对沃尔沃汽车从车祸中拯救了她儿子的生命深表感谢。鲍勃自此萌生了创立一个幸存者俱乐部的想法。20 年后，鲍勃已在沃尔沃公共关系部任职。一次，一位前客户部的同事告诉他，沃尔沃还收到过其他幸存者的类似信件。于是，鲍勃坚定了决心，于1990 年成立了“沃尔沃生命奇迹”俱乐部。
