1966款沃尔沃P1800 冲击300 万英里驾驶纪录

2010 年7 月15 日, 沃尔沃汽车的“百万英里”俱乐部（只要拥有一辆驾驶行程超过100 万英里的沃尔沃汽车，就能加入该俱乐部）迎来了美国人埃夫•戈登（Irv Gordon）的70 岁生日。作为一位屡破吉尼斯纪录的俱乐部会员，戈登计划在未来三年内，驾驶他的1966 年款沃尔沃P1800，冲击300 万英里的行驶里程，刷新自己之前创造的纪录。这项考验汽车耐力的纪录一旦诞生，将使这位铁人永久载入史册。

戈登是纽约州的一位退休理科教师，于1966 年6 月买下这辆红色沃尔沃P1800 轿跑车，每天往返行驶125 英里。在过去的30 多年里，戈登驾驶他的沃尔沃已经行驶了280 万英里（450.6 万公里）。
