吉首至凤凰高速29日通车长沙4个半小时可到凤凰

凤凰古城终于有高速公路了，吉怀高速公路吉首至凤凰段于2008年9月26日开工，工程建设历时4年，将在今日上午举行通车仪式。届时，吉首至凤凰车程将由原来的70分钟缩短至25分钟，而长沙至凤凰的时间也由此前的5个半小时缩短至4个半小时。

吉怀高速公路吉首至凤凰段长39.25公里，采用四车道高速公路标准建设，路基宽26米，路面为沥青混凝土，设计行车时速100公里/小时。吉怀高速途经湘西自治州的吉首市、凤凰县，怀化市的麻阳县、芷江县、鹤城区，止于鹤城区的牛栏坡，全长104.836公里。预计今年年底建成通车。

省交通运输厅相关人士介绍，吉凤段建成通车后，凤凰古城融入了省会四小时经济圈，有利于促进湘西州旅游事业的发展，打造“魅力湘西”、“天下凤凰”精品旅游线路;有利于推动湘西州区域经济发展，促进西部开发、武陵山片区区域发展与扶贫攻坚等国家战略的实施。(文章来源：湘西在线)
