五里桥，史称安平桥，位于南安市水头镇和晋江安海镇之间的海湾上。五里桥为南宋初年（公元1138年）始建，历经13年方告成功，距今已有约八百五十年的历史。因为全桥长达2255米，约合五华里，所以俗称五里桥，是我国古代最长的著名跨海桥梁，1961年被国务院确定为全国重点文物保护单位。
