英国央行行长默文·金5月19日表示，英国经济仅仅实现了“温和复苏”，央行和政府需进一步支持经济增长。

默文·金当天在接受英国天空电视台采访时表示：“我们正在经历复苏，但只是一次温和的经济复苏，我们肯定对此不满意。我们需要做得更多，以进一步激发经济增长潜力，实现健康和持续的增长。”

他认为，目前英国经济面临的最大风险是欧元区经济的疲软，他呼吁欧元区推出“可信的中期计划”，使该地区经济能够回归增长轨道。他建议，该地区经济系统的自动稳定器应该发挥其功效，即允许财政政策发挥其刺激经济增长的作用。
