交通银行台北代表处正式设立

新华社北京9月24日电（记者刘诗平）交通银行新闻发言人24日在接受新华社记者核实时表示，交行已首家完成设立台湾代表处的相关注册登记手续，交行台北代表处正式设立。

9月23日，交行和中国银行同时获得台湾银行业监督管理机构有关在台湾设立代表处的批准，成为首批赴台湾设立机构的两家大陆银行。

交行新闻发言人表示，交行在台湾设立代表处是落实“走国际化、综合化道路，建设以财富管理为特色的一流公众持股银行集团”发展战略，进一步完善海外机构布局的重要举措。交行十分重视对台业务，已与33家台湾银行建立了代理行关系，在厦门成立了台胞服务中心，今年上半年在上海和福建率先推出了新台币双向兑换业务等，两岸结算业务往来不断增加。

他说，交行台北代表处成立后，将进一步加强两岸金融机构及客户的信息交流，推进两岸经济金融合作。

台湾银行业监督管理机构在核准中行、交行在台设立代表处时表示，中行、交行在台设立的代表处将从事非营业性活动，包括联络台湾地区银行业者与客户及搜集台湾地区金融市场信息等。根据两岸经济合作框架协议(ECFA)及早收清单的相关规定，大陆的银行经许可在台湾设立代表处且满一年，即可申请在台湾设立分行。

此前，中国银监会已宣布，批准台湾土地银行、第一商业银行、合作金库银行和彰化银行首批4家台资银行在大陆进行分行的筹建工作。（完）
