塘厦新名片：国际绿色生态旅游名镇

本报讯 (记者董哲)6月16日至17日，由国际文化旅游促进会、中国旅游品牌协会、中国县域经济协会联合主办的“2011国际文化旅游品牌节暨国际旅游品牌表彰宣传活动”在北京召开。塘厦镇荣获“国际绿色生态旅游名镇”荣誉称号。据统计，2010年来塘厦观光旅游度假的游客多达13万以上，其中，来自美国、法国、澳大利亚等国的游客超过五成。

据悉，塘厦镇委书记、人大主席叶锦河在会上作了主题演讲，介绍了塘厦镇在绿色生态建设、旅游发展及其规划、高尔夫休闲产业等方面的成功经验与做法。由于塘厦在生态环境保护，高尔夫休闲旅游产业发展，以及工业经济与生态旅游和谐并进等方面的突出成绩，被国际文化旅游促进会认定为，有重要影响力的旅游名镇，特授予“国际绿色生态旅游名镇”称号。

据了解，塘厦镇通过大力实施“绿色GDP、蓝天、碧水、绿地”等四大工程，构筑了“城在林中，人在绿中”的岭南特色园林城市特色。在世界最大的塘厦观澜湖高尔夫球会的带动影响下，塘厦已形成高尔夫运动、赛事、会展、养生等于一体的综合休闲旅游区。依托完善的配套服务，借助现代文化基础设施和音乐创作基地、东八区创意园区等丰富的文化旅游资源，吸引了四面八方的客人到塘厦观光旅游。
