最大的伤亡事故

1955年，梅赛德斯-奔驰300SLR赛车因在大直道看台前躲避前方变线的捷豹TypeT，直接从前方的奥斯汀赛车上轧了过去，赛车像炮弹一样飞向旁边的护栏，撞成了两截并立即起火，喷着火舌砸到观众密集的看台上，车手当场丧生，观众83人死亡，超过120人受伤。
